Wow! This busy week came up fast!
It's AUTHOR FEST in Downers Grove District 58! I'll be visiting two schools - El Sierra and Hillcrest - on Thursday, April 25th. Then on Friday, April 26th, I'll be joining fellow authors and illustrators Jill Esbaum, Liesl Shurtliff, Brianna DuMont, and Allan Woodrow at Anderson's Bookshop in downtown Downers Grove, followed by a visit to the Downers Grove Public Library. Yippee!! It's almost time! DRESS LIKE A GIRL will be out in the world in NINE days! I'd like to invite my Chicago area friends to come join me at two upcoming signings. The first is on January 26th, 11 am, at Anderson's Bookshop in Naperville. Josh Funk will be joining me to celebrate the third book in a series - MISSION DEFROSTABLE! We're working on ideas of what kind of mischief we can get up to... Another signing is on February 2nd, 10:30 am, at 57th Street Books in Hyde Park. I'll be hosting a story time and tidbits about writing. I hope to see you there! DRESS LIKE A GIRL has received another wonderful review, this time from Publishers Weekly. The reviewer had lovely things to say about Lorian Tu-Dean's illustrations, as well as the text by yours truly:
"Tu-Dean captures the joy of dressing up, friendship and discovery in her mixed-media art. Fashion in limitless and fun, Toht suggests - but it's not so much the clothes that matter as the individual underneath." Thank you, Publishers Weekly! Click here for the full review
